I am a Somatic Psychotherapist and Counsellor in private practice in Bondi Junction in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. I have 20 years of clinical experience as well as an array of diverse personal and professional life experiences that inform the way I work and relate to my clients. I am a certified counselor as well as holding a Graduate Diploma of Psychotherapy (Somatic).

Taking That First Step

I am able, because of my own experience of long-term psychotherapy, to understand what it feels like to be a client in therapy who is grappling with the impact of difficult, uncomfortable and vulnerable feelings, or dealing with the shock of life-shattering events.

My Person-to-Person Approach

The style of my approach is warm and conversational. While the foundation of psychotherapy is about understanding our feelings and emotions and their historical beginnings, I believe that practical information and education are also important aspects of any successful psychotherapy treatment plan and I am able to provide a flexible and individual approach to the issues you bring to your sessions.

My Theoretical Approaches

Theoretically, my work encompasses a range of contemporary modalities woven together in a psychodynamic base, with emphasis on somatics (body-mind interconnection), emotional regulation, mindful awareness, attachment theory, current research on neurobiology and brain plasticity. This flexible array of theories and concepts will help us to make meaning of events in your past and shed light on the patterns which are causing current difficulties in relationships with your life-partner, friends, family or co-workers.
